【背景と課題】
自由視点映像(360°マルチアングル映像)とは、様々な視点で視聴出来る映像の総称です。
今まで複数のグローバル企業が研究開発に取り組んできた映像技術でもあります。

日本では2017年,野球の日本シリーズで利用され、2018年の平昌オリンピックでは5Gタブレット限定でフィギアスケートの自由視点映像(360°マルチアングル映像)で実証実験、2019年世界柔道ではリプレイ映像の解説映像として利用、そして2020年東京オリンピックでも5G端末限定で局地的に視聴体験が提供される予定とされています。

しかし課題として、映像処理負荷や配信負荷の高さ、映像容量の重さ等による要因からWebブラウザ上での配信や再生(視点切替視聴)は難しいとされ、導入費用も高額となり、広く多くの視聴者が体験出来るものではないという状況が続いています。


【特許技術で解決】
今回発表の特許技術「SwipeVideo（Holographic Reality）」は上記の様な課題をクリアした世界初の独自技術です。
映像はWEBの技術（HTML5）だけで動作するのでアプリが不要なうえ、視聴者が任意のタイミングで再生中（スロー再生中や静止中,ズーム中も可能）の映像を切り替える事を可能にし、スワイプするだけで映像の視点を自由に切り替えて視聴する事が可能です。
よって、現状の世界中の4G回線のスマホユーザーにも「自由視点映像(360°マルチアングル映像)」を配信する事が出来る為、広く多くの視聴者に今までに無いリッチな視聴体験を提供出来る独自システムとなりました。
5G環境が整った場合、更にユーザー体験を向上させ、かつ更にリッチな映像が配信可能となる為、今後積極的に5G活用を行なっていきます。

今回は「自由視点映像(360°マルチアングル映像)」を含む複数映像の、映像配信装置、映像配信システム、映像配信方法、及び映像配信プログラムの米国特許1件,日本国内特許2件の特許取得のお知らせとなります。
AMATELUSは国際特許出願済みで、今後各国への展開を予定しています。
また、今回取得した特許をもとに改良した発明についても、より一層開発・出願をしていく事を予定しております。

【撮影に関して（新たな撮影手段も）】
撮影自体に制限はありません。
複数アングルの動画データが存在していれば「SwipeVideo」を生成し配信する事が可能ですので、業務用カメラで撮影した映像や、スマホで撮影した映像を利用出来ます。
例えば、下記のイメージの様に複数のスマホユーザー同士でスマホを同期させて同時刻撮影し撮影者それぞれの動画を一つにし「SwipeVideo」を生成し視聴する事も可能です。（今回発表の特許範囲内容）
